These elegant white shower curtains are the plainest thing in the range and the whole appeal is in the cloth: a linen-look polyester with a slubbed, slightly irregular surface and soft tonal banding running vertically, so the panel picks up light in uneven columns rather than reading as a flat sheet. It is not linen, and it is not meant to pass for it up close, but the hand is dry and matte rather than slippery. The bottom edge is shaped and weighted so the folds stay even down the drop. There is no printed pattern anywhere on it, which makes it the panel to buy when the room already has too much going on and needs one calm surface.

No. It is a polyester woven and finished to give a linen-like slub and matte handle. Real linen is not used anywhere in this range, because it needs a liner in a wet room and does not hold up. Treat the description as a look, not a fibre.
It is a deliberate part of the weave and reads as soft shading rather than as stripes. In flat light it is almost invisible; under a side window it gives the panel depth, which is the point of it.
Not for water. The face is water-repellent and it works on its own. Some people add one for opacity, since a pale plain cloth is more translucent than a printed panel when backlit.
