Ordered as a 48 x 72 shower curtain, this panel puts tangerine, magenta and teal butterflies over a white ground, with folk-style blooms and dotted mandalas filling the gaps between the wings. Nothing repeats in a tidy grid: the scale jumps from thumbnail daisies to palm-sized wings, so the artwork reads as a burst of color from the doorway and resolves into fine linework once you are standing beside it. It belongs in a bathroom where the tile is plain and the personality is expected to come from the textile.

Where a Busy Butterfly Panel Settles Down
Plain white metro tile and a white tub are the easiest backdrop here, because the print already carries five colors and a second pattern underfoot would fight it. Pull one shade out for towels, usually the teal or the deep magenta, and leave everything else neutral. No, the print sits on the front face only. The reverse reads as plain white with a faint ghost of the artwork showing through the weave. Hang the printed face into the room and the inside of the shower stays a soft off-white.
Roughly half the panel. The motifs cluster through the middle band and thin out toward the top and bottom edges, so white still reads as the base color rather than an outline. That is what stops the design going heavy in a small room.
It will not match seam to seam. Each panel is printed as one complete composition rather than a continuous repeat, so two hung together read as two separate pictures. Over a wide opening a single 71-inch cut looks tidier than a pair of narrow ones.
