No. The illustration is printed on the front only, and the reverse shows a much paler ghost of the navy with no detail. Hang it with the cat facing the room; the water-repellent finish behaves the same either way.
It sits deliberately between the two. The subject is silly but the painting is loose and adult in handling, with no bold outlines or primary colours, so it tends to read as wit rather than as a kids design.
Dried splashes can leave a faint pale mark on a dark ground, more visibly than on a busy print. A quick rinse of the lower section under the shower head clears them without a full wash.
