A Gold Damask Border Above Plain Cream
Seven cuts, ending at 71 x 94 inches, make the Luxury Fabric Shower Curtains one of the few panels here that will reach a rail hung near the ceiling. The design puts all its weight at the top: a deep band of gold damask scrollwork, symmetrical and dense, running the full width and finishing in a scalloped edge about a quarter of the way down. Below that the cream ground is left almost empty, with only a faint repeating motif and a narrow gold trim at the hem. Two narrow gold rules run beneath the scalloped edge, holding the border firmly against the empty field below it.

Where the Border Sits on a Very High Rail
On a tall drop the empty cream field does the work, keeping a high panel from feeling heavy while the gold band lands at eye level where it can be seen; on a standard rod the border sits higher and reads more like a pelmet. It suits a formal bathroom with a freestanding tub, warm brass and a stone floor. Yes, the band is positioned relative to the header, so on a 94-inch panel it sits proportionally higher up the wall and the plain cream field below it becomes much deeper. Some people prefer the 79-inch drop for that reason, since it keeps the scrollwork nearer eye level.
It is printed with several tones, from pale champagne in the highlights to a deep bronze in the shadows of the scrollwork, which gives the band real relief under warm light. There is no foil or metallic thread.
Nearly plain. There is a faint tonal motif visible at close range and a narrow gold line near the hem, but from across the room it reads as an empty cream field.
It can be inverted, but the grommets are set for the top edge and the scalloped line of the band is drawn to hang downward, so reversing it looks wrong rather than deliberate.
