No, and it is important to be straight about that. The gold is a printed photograph of sequins on a matte polyester panel. It looks like a sequinned surface in a photograph and from a distance, but the cloth itself has no metallic thread and reflects nothing.
An antique or aged one. The shadowed sequins hold amber and bronze while the lit ones read as pale champagne, so the overall cast is much closer to old brass than to a bright yellow gold.
Less than you might expect, because the print is broken into thousands of small facets rather than being one solid block of colour. In a small dark room it functions as warmth; in a small bright room it can feel busy.
Brushed or antique brass works, as it picks up the mid tones of the print. Polished chrome sits oddly against it, and polished gold tapware next to a printed gold panel draws attention to the fact that one of them is not metal.
