Seven cuts of this mint green shower curtain are produced, up to a 71 x 94 ceiling drop, and the stripe holds its rhythm at every one because the bands are drawn rather than ruled. White horizontal lines run across a soft mint ground with slightly wavering edges and uneven spacing, as though painted freehand. The irregularity is the point: a machine-straight stripe at this scale would look like packaging. The bands are wider than the gaps between them at the top of the panel and closer to equal near the hem, which gives the stripe a slow drift as the eye travels down.

Pale and slightly grey, closer to a sea-glass green than to a bright mint. Under artificial light it can read almost neutral, and it comes alive in daylight.
Marginally, yes, since horizontal lines widen rather than heighten. In a narrow bathroom the widening effect is usually worth more than the loss of height, but in a low-ceilinged room a vertical stripe is the safer choice.
