Description

Six Cuts of an Undecorated Blue Panel

Six sizes is unusual, and on a plain panel it is the main reason to choose one. The royal blue shower curtain carries no print at all — a single strong blue with a faint sheen where the weave catches light — so the only decision left is fit, and the range runs from 59 x 71 up to 87 x 79 inches. That upper width covers openings that a standard square panel simply cannot reach, including wide walk-ins and double-ended tubs where two curtains would otherwise be needed. Every size shares the same construction and the same depth of dye, so a pair hung on adjacent rods will match. There is no pattern to align.

  • Six sizes: 59 x 71, 59 x 79, 71 x 71, 71 x 79, 79 x 79, 87 x 79 inches
  • Solid-dyed woven polyester, no printed layer
  • 12 metal grommets in a silver tone
  • 12 hooks supplied
  • Anti-stain and anti-mildew treatment
  • Water-repellent, machine wash at 86 F

Solid Colour in a Room That Already Has Pattern

A room with patterned floor tile, a mosaic splashback or wallpaper does not need a printed curtain, and this is what you hang instead: one saturated block of colour that ties into the palette without adding a second design. Blue this strong reads best beside white, pale grey or natural stone. It is one of the plainer options among our solid shower curtains, and if you like a single colour but want it to move across the drop rather than sit flat, the Ombre Shower Curtain grades from white to green instead.

Cobalt. It is a bright, clean royal blue with no purple and no black in it, which is why it stays vivid under electric light rather than sinking toward navy the way a deeper dye would.

It comes from the weave rather than a coating, so the panel picks up a soft lustre where light strikes it directly and stays matte elsewhere. It is nothing like the hard shine of a satin finish, and it disappears entirely in a room lit from above.

Measure the opening and add roughly half again for the gathers. An opening around four feet wide takes the 71-inch panel comfortably, and anything approaching five feet is where the 79 or 87-inch cuts start to matter. Too little surplus and the panel pulls flat rather than hanging in folds.

A solid mid-tone hides dried splash better than a dark solid and worse than a busy print. On this blue, hard-water spotting shows as faint pale flecks near the hem, and a wipe with warm water clears them before they build up.
