Very few large-subject prints are cut at 79 inches wide, which is why this shower curtain leopard is worth knowing about if you have an oversized alcove or a corner tub. The image is a leopard's head filling almost the whole panel, painted in gold, amber and black with the fur strokes exaggerated into streaks of light, and the eyes rendered a hard electric blue. The background is a plain warm cream that stops at the edges. The streaking in the fur runs outward from the muzzle rather than following the real direction of the coat, which is what gives the head its impression of movement.

A Big Cat Face Against Cool Plain Tile
A subject this large wants a cool, plain wall behind it, since warm tile would push the golds toward orange and a patterned floor would crowd the face entirely. No, and deliberately not. A leopard's eyes are amber; these are pushed to a hard electric blue for contrast against the gold. It is a stylised portrait rather than a wildlife photograph.
It is rescaled rather than cropped, so the ears and muzzle stay within the panel on the 39-inch cut. What changes is how much cream background surrounds the face.
Less well than you might expect. The golds in the fur are already warm, and against timber the whole panel reads as one orange mass. Cool grey or white tile gives the face far more definition.
