This shower curtain sexy design is a single illusion: the panel is plain white, and printed on it in soft grey is the blurred shadow of a woman standing close behind, arms raised, hands and forearms sharp where they press against the fabric and everything else falling away into a diffuse grey. The gradient does the work. From a few feet it convinces; from arm's length it resolves into a printed image on a flat white cloth. Only the hands and forearms are printed sharply, and everything below the shoulder line falls away into a soft grey, which is what makes the figure appear to be behind the cloth rather than on it. That focus difference is the entire trick.
