The Terracotta Shower Curtain is a painted figure study rather than the plain earth-toned panel the name suggests: a woman in a long red dress carrying a wide olive cloth stands among three round clay pots, one banded in ochre and black, against a backdrop of stepped geometric panels in gold and sand. The terracotta of the title is the colour of the vessels and the ground, and it does dominate, but the subject is a person. Everything is painted flat, without shading, in the manner of a printed poster.

No. It is a painted scene with a standing figure at its centre, and terracotta describes the palette rather than the design. If you were expecting a solid earth-toned curtain, this is a different thing entirely.
Very. There is almost no modelling; the dress, the cloth and the pots are laid down as blocks of colour with dark outlines, which is what gives the panel its poster quality and keeps it legible from a distance.
Less well than in a warm room. Every tone here is warm, and a cool grey tile drains them. Against cream, sand or timber it comes alive.
