Keeping this yellow black and white shower curtain looking right is entirely a question of the white: bands of yellow police barrier tape, printed with black lettering, criss-cross the panel at sharp angles, and everything between them is left bare. Yellow is a forgiving colour that hides marks well, but the white gaps between the tapes are where soap splash and a grey cast from the wrong wash load will show first. Kept white, the joke lands. Gone grey, it looks like the tape has been up too long. The tapes are printed at full width rather than scaled down, so the lettering along them is the size it would be on real barrier tape.

Caution Yellow in a Rental or Student Bathroom
It is made for a shared flat, a student bathroom or a downstairs cloakroom where a visitor is meant to react to it, and the yellow is bright enough to carry a room with no other colour in it. Yes, the words are printed in black along each band and are legible from across the room. They repeat along the tape as real barrier tape does. That repetition is part of what makes it convincing.
They run diagonally and are composed for each cut, so the bands meet the side hems cleanly at every width. Nothing is left half-crossing. Two panels hung side by side will not align, since the angles are not designed to continue.
It is a strong caution yellow, deliberately so, since a muted version would lose the reference entirely. In a small white bathroom it is the only colour present and reads accordingly. Under a warm bulb it shifts very slightly toward gold.
