It is lit rather than gloomy, with lanterns and glowing water carrying most of the scene, so it reads as adventurous rather than menacing. There are no creatures or figures in it. Parents generally report it being the part of the bathroom kids show visitors.
The detail stays the same size; you simply see less of the picture. The composition centres on the tree, so narrow panels keep the important part and trim the outer rock walls. Nothing is squashed or stretched to fit.
The cold blues hold better than the warm amber does, which is common with printed polyester. Washing cool and drying out of direct sun keeps them close to new for years. Avoid high dryer heat, which is what actually dulls them.
