A Panda in a Bow Tie and a Straw Hat

The black and white animal shower curtain is a portrait: a panda painted from the chest up, wearing a small straw boater and a yellow bow tie, set on a plain white ground with no scene behind it. The brushwork is soft-edged, so the black fur reads as painted rather than as a flat block, and the yellow of the tie is the only colour anywhere on the panel. One Character Against Plain White Tile

A single character on white is the easiest way to put humour in a bathroom without committing the room to a theme, and it sits happily against white metro tile, a black rail and one mustard towel picked up from the bow tie.
