The Black Floral Shower Curtain sets a single illustrated skull, crowned in blush roses, purple blooms and green leaves, on a ground of pure black. The black is the point: it isolates the flower crown so the pinks and violets read as bright as they can, and it stops what could be a heavy gothic image from turning muddy. The illustration sits high enough on the panel that it stays visible above a tub rim, and the black falls away below it into an unbroken field.

Hard water marks are more visible on black than on any other ground, especially as the panel dries. A quick wipe along the lower third after a shower is the habit that keeps it looking solid.
The skull is a fine grey line drawing but the flowers are full color, with blush, coral, violet and green all rendered as painted blooms. The contrast between the two is what gives the design its depth.
It changes the room rather than shrinking it. Against pale tile the panel reads as a defined block of color and the room feels composed; against dark tile it will close the space in, so pale surroundings matter here.
