A Painted Portrait Carried on a Matte Weave
Bold shower curtains rarely mean this literally: the panel carries a painted portrait of a woman's face, built from loaded strokes of cobalt, coral, ochre and deep red that stay visible as brushwork rather than blending into skin. Half the face is finished, half dissolves into raw colour on the right. The weave underneath is matte and slightly absorbent-looking, which is why the strokes read as paint on canvas instead of as a photograph of a painting. There is no border and no repeat.

It sits centre-left, with the finished half of the portrait toward the middle of the panel and the dissolved side running off to the right. Hung as supplied the eyes land near eye level on a standard rail.
The strokes keep their edges and their direction, so it reads as paint rather than as a smooth gradient. What you lose against a real canvas is physical texture, not the drawing.
Blue and coral. The ochre and deep red sit in the lower half and read as warmth rather than as separate colours from across the room.
It is strong, but a single image on a plain ground is easier in a small room than a busy repeat. Keep the surrounding tile and towels quiet and it works.
