Small Mosaic Squares in Six Shades of Grey

The Checkered Shower Curtain prints a grid of small mosaic squares, each tile filled with a slightly different grey or warm stone tone so the whole surface shimmers rather than repeating cleanly. Read from a distance it looks like a tiled wall; up close the individual squares resolve and you can see that no two adjacent tiles share the same value. The grid runs straight rather than on a diagonal, which is what makes it echo real bathroom tile instead of a decorative pattern.

Does the printed grid line up with real tile on the wall?

Not exactly, and it does not need to. The printed squares are their own scale, so the effect is of a related surface rather than a continuation. Where the two scales are close the room reads as one material.

Is the panel grey overall or does it read warm?

Slightly warm. Alongside the cool greys there are tiles in taupe and sand, and those warmer squares lift the average so the panel sits closer to greige than to true grey.

Which cut suits a wide walk-in with no door?

The 94 x 79. That is the widest panel in the range and the 79-inch drop clears a rail hung above standard tub height, which is usual in a walk-in enclosure.

Will the small squares look busy in a tiny bathroom?

Less than a large motif would. Because the tiles are small and closely valued, the pattern reads as texture from more than a few feet away rather than as a graphic, which is what keeps a small room calm.
