This color block shower curtain comes in seven cuts, from a 35-inch stall panel to a 71 x 94 ceiling drop, which is rare for a design this graphic. The composition is a grid of unequal rectangles separated by thick black rules, filled in flat red, cobalt, chrome yellow and white, with the largest blocks pushed to the corners. No two rectangles are the same size, so the arrangement stays lively rather than settling into a chequerboard. The white blocks are as much a part of the composition as the coloured ones, which is what stops the panel from looking merely bright. The balance is carefully uneven.

Hard Geometry in a Room With Nothing Else Going On
Three primaries and a black rule leave no room for a second pattern, so this wants a plain white bathroom where it can be the entire decorating scheme rather than one element of it. The proportions are adjusted so the grid fills each cut without stretching any single rectangle out of shape. The arrangement is recognisably the same design at every width, but the narrow panels carry fewer visible blocks.
A clean chrome yellow with no brown in it, the same register as the red and the cobalt. All three are unmixed primaries, which is the point of the design and also why it needs a plain room around it.
Not in a cool wash. The lines are printed with hard edges and the polyester holds them. Hot water is what softens pigment boundaries, so keeping to 86 degrees is what protects the crispness here.
It is not, and the primaries make it an easy fit. It is a graphic design rather than a novelty print, so it will still look considered when the child is older, which not many bright panels manage.
