Yes. The panda is friendly rather than aggressive and the gloves are plainly a joke rather than a fight. The ink splatter around the figure is the only thing that occasionally reads as scribble to a toddler.
Only the gloves, which are a soft powder blue. Everything else is black ink on white. That single point of colour is what stops the design from looking severe in a children's room.
It is intentional and part of the original brush drawing, concentrated around the ears and the lower edge of the figure. Once you recognise it as brushwork it reads clearly, but it does catch some people out at first glance.
