The illustration on these fancy shower curtains is arranged like a shop display: a pink cocktail dress and a black polka-dot dress on stands, a perfume atomiser, an open lipstick, a handbag and a tiered cake stand, all inked in fine black line and filled with rose pink. A scalloped pink lace band runs along the top edge and a heavier black lace border closes the bottom, with a few lines of script lettering worked into the empty spaces between objects. The palette is deliberately narrow, so with only pink, black and white in play the panel stays coherent despite the number of separate objects in it.

It hides parts of it, which is unavoidable with a scene laid out across the full width. The objects are spaced rather than overlapping, so folds tend to tuck away the gaps between them; hanging it with a light gather rather than tight pleats keeps most of the display visible.
Printed. The scalloped edges at top and bottom are part of the artwork on a flat woven panel, so there is nothing to snag or fray and nothing that needs separate care.
Rose pink is a mid-strength pigment and will soften slowly in a bright room, drifting towards a dusty rose rather than peach. Keeping it out of direct sun and off hot wash cycles is what buys it years rather than months.
