Watercolour prints show wear differently from solid colour, and these feminine shower curtains are a case in point: the motif is built from overlapping washes, so a faded patch reads as another translucent layer rather than as damage. The design itself is a large heart assembled out of crimson, scarlet and rose splashes on a pale blush ground, with a scatter of small teal birds flying out of it and a soft lip shape ghosted to one side. The splashes overlap without hard edges, so the heart holds together as a shape while still reading as separate marks up close.

The colour is printed and heat-set into the polyester rather than dyed through the yarn, so it does not migrate the way a piece-dyed red yarn would. Washing at 86 F rather than hot keeps that reliable over years, and there is no need to wash it separately after the first cycle.
It sits centred and takes up most of the middle third of the panel, with the birds and the lip shape breaking outward from it. That placement means a light gather at the edges leaves the motif itself intact.
They are small but fully saturated, so they register as points of contrast rather than blending in. From across the room they read as a scatter of dark specks; up close they are clearly birds in flight.
