Four smooth grey river stones balanced into a cairn, set on sand raked into concentric rings: the grey and beige shower curtain gets its whole effect from two colours and a lot of shallow shadow. The stones are photographed close, so their surface pitting and the soft grain of the sand both read clearly, and the rake lines curve away behind them to give the image its depth. Nothing is printed above the horizon of the sand. There is no sky in the frame at all, which is unusual for a landscape print and part of why it stays calm.

Slightly left of centre and low in the frame, with the raked sand filling the space to its right. That offset is worth planning around: hang the panel so the stack falls on the open part of the run rather than where it bunches at the end of the rod.
It is a genuinely warm sand tone, which is what gives the panel its contrast against the cool grey of the stones. In a room lit by cool white bulbs that warmth reduces, and the whole image reads more monochrome.
It does, because the palette is two neutrals rather than a decorative scheme. It behaves like a plain beige and grey panel from a distance and only resolves into a photograph up close, which makes it easier to live with than most themed prints.
