The Island View Shower Curtain is a painted seascape rather than a photograph: a three-masted ship with sails furled sitting in a calm bay, palms leaning in from both edges, and a sky worked in amber, rose and pale gold behind a bank of towering cloud. Barrels, rope and a beached rowing boat are stacked in the foreground on a strip of dark sand. The light source sits low and central, so the whole panel warms toward the middle and darkens at the corners, which is what gives it the depth of a stage set.

It is digitally painted, closer to a book plate than to a photograph. The palms and the rigging carry brushwork you can see up close, and the sky has been built in layers rather than captured.
Yes. Despite the pirate-adjacent subject, the palette is dusty gold and rose rather than primary colour, and the handling is painterly. It reads as a landscape scene first and an adventure motif second.
The bottom quarter is dark, but the middle and upper panel are bright and open, so the overall effect is to push the wall back rather than close it in. Against dark tile, though, the corners would disappear.
