A soft near-black that reads as charcoal against the off-white rather than as hard ink. From across the room it looks grey; up close you can see it is a warm dark line.
That is what it is there for. The reinforced edge adds enough weight along the bottom to stop the panel from lifting toward your legs, without adding a visible strip of magnets or a rod pocket.
