The Light Green Shower Curtain is a close-up macro photograph rather than a scene: a red-eyed tree frog gripping the edge of a broad banana leaf with its orange toes, head and shoulders lifted over the rib, eyes wide and unmistakable. The leaf fills the entire panel behind it in a fresh yellow-green, ribbed with parallel veins running from corner to corner, so the background is pattern and colour at once. Blue and orange flashes along the frog's flank supply the only tones that are not green, and they are what stop the image reading as a single colour field.

One Bright Subject in a Small White Room

Yes, it is photographed rather than drawn. The veins have visible surface sheen and small imperfections along the edge, which an illustration would have tidied away.
