Soft. It is a butter or pale mustard tone rather than a primary yellow, and against white it reads more as warmth than as colour. In a room with a lot of daylight it lightens further.
Not exactly. Each panel is printed individually, so two hung side by side will not register perfectly at the join. On a small repeat like this the mismatch is easy to miss unless you look for it.
It tends not to, because the contrast is low. A small-scale pattern in two close tones reads as texture from a few feet away, which is why this kind of trellis is a standard choice for confined rooms.
