This ocean themed shower curtain is film rather than cloth. The body is a frosted PEVA sheet, matte and slightly cloudy, with starfish, scallop shells and conch printed across it in soft blue and sand. Because the material is translucent, light passes through the panel and the motifs read as shadows from the far side. It has none of the drape of a woven panel — it hangs in stiffer, wider folds and dries in minutes rather than hours, which is the trade-off with any film curtain. The frosting is even across the whole sheet rather than banded, and the motifs are spaced widely enough that broad areas of plain translucent film sit between them. Nothing on it is glossy anywhere.

Only as shapes. The frosting diffuses everything behind the panel into soft outlines and colour, which is the point of choosing a sheer film over a clear one. Standing directly against it, the printed shells are the clearest thing on the surface from either side.
It is wrong, and it is a translation carried over from the fabric panels in the same range. PEVA is a plastic film. Agitation and heat will crease it, cloud it and pull the grommet holes, so treat wipe-clean as the only correct instruction here.
PEVA has a faint plastic odour on unwrapping, milder than vinyl and short-lived. Hanging the panel with the bathroom door open for a day clears it. Running hot water in the room speeds that up considerably.
No. The motifs are printed into the film rather than applied on top, so a damp cloth will not lift them. What does mark PEVA is an abrasive sponge or a bleach-based spray, both of which cloud the frosted surface permanently.
