Guest bathrooms are where a bit of humour is safe, and the orange fabric shower curtain puts a basset hound front and centre — long ears hanging past the jaw, the wrinkled brow, an expression somewhere between patient and disappointed. He is painted in warm browns and set against a background that grades from bright tangerine at the edges to a deeper amber behind his head, so the dog reads as lit from the front. No text, no border, nothing else on the panel. His coat is painted in overlapping strokes rather than smoothed out, so from close range you can see the brushwork in the ears and the loose folds under the chin. The background gradient is smooth by contrast, with no visible banding across it.

It is a genuinely saturated tangerine rather than a muted rust, so it will not arrive quieter than pictured. In a small windowless bathroom it fills the room with warm reflected light, which people either want or very much do not.
Yes, if the panel is bunched to one side. The portrait is large and centred, so a fold running through the muzzle is noticeable. Pulling it closed across the tub between uses is the fix, and it also keeps the panel drying flat.
It works better there than against grey. Amber and mid-brown tile share the same warmth, and the dog's coat picks it up directly. Against cool grey porcelain the orange looks like it belongs to a different room.
