The image on this red and gray shower curtain is a hand of four aces, fanned and standing upright at the centre, with the rest of the deck exploding outward behind them in a rough circle so the cards fly off toward every corner. The backdrop is a pale grey brick wall, slightly weathered. Red hearts and diamonds alternate with black spades and clubs through the burst, which is what gives the scatter its rhythm. The cards nearest the aces are printed sharp and those further out soften slightly, which is what gives the burst its sense of speed rather than looking like a flat arrangement.

On the wider cuts, yes, the outermost cards run off all four sides, which is what makes it look like an explosion rather than a wreath. On the narrow panel the burst is cropped at the sides and reads tighter.
Printed, on a completely smooth woven polyester. The mortar lines and the surface pitting are all in the image, and the cloth itself feels flat to the touch.
Playing cards are not an adult subject in themselves, but the whole treatment leans toward a games room or a bar. In a child's bathroom it will look borrowed from somewhere else.
