Read as stripes from across the room, the Stripped Shower Curtain is actually a photograph of old boards painted in different colors and butted together, so magenta sits against ochre, teal against crimson, lime against violet. Grain, knots and split paint show through every plank, and the widths vary the way reclaimed timber does. Nothing has been evened out or vectorized, which is what gives the panel its depth. The colors run at full saturation from top to bottom with no fade. Seen close up you can pick out nail holes and worn edges on individual boards.

Printed. The fabric is a smooth woven polyester and the boards, grain and paint texture are all part of the photographic image. Nothing is raised or ridged when you run a hand across it.
No, the sequence is irregular, which is what makes it look like salvaged timber rather than a designed stripe. Adjacent planks vary in width as well as color. There is no visible repeat across the panel.
Almost certainly. The panel carries the entire spectrum already, so a colored tile has nothing left to contrast with and the room reads busy. White, grey or timber surfaces are what it needs.
