Cotton Bolls on Weathered Grey Board, With a Line of Script

The Tan Shower Curtains are photographed rather than drawn, and the colour is the first surprise: the boards behind the design are a cool weathered grey-taupe, not the warm sandy tone the name implies, with a wide slate-blue band running across the lower half. On the upper boards sits a cut branch of cotton, four open bolls with their dried brown husks, and across the blue band runs the phrase i love you in a loose white brush script. It is a decorated panel with a message on it, not a plain neutral.

Is there lettering printed on this one?

There is. A line reading i love you sits in white brush script across the blue band in the lower half, large enough to read from anywhere in the room. If you want the branch without the message, this is not the panel for you.

Is the colour tan or grey?

Grey, with a cool taupe cast in the boards and a slate blue in the lower band. The warm tan tones are limited to the dried cotton husks, so treat this as a cool neutral rather than a sandy one.

Is any of it actually cotton?

Only in the photograph. The panel itself is woven polyester carrying a photographic image of a cotton branch, which is also why it can be machine washed and dried on the rail.
