A Yellow Submarine Among Cartoon Fish

Underwater Shower Curtain is built for the bathroom that gets used at bath time rather than shower time: a fat yellow submarine with three round portholes hangs in bright blue water, surrounded by shoals of flat cartoon fish in red, orange, pink and teal, with a reef of coral and anemones drawn across the bottom edge. Everything is outlined and filled in solid color with no shading anywhere, which is what keeps it legible from the other side of a small room and stops it looking gloomy in a windowless bathroom. The submarine is drawn with a small propeller and a periscope, and a trail of round bubbles rises from it toward the top edge of the panel.

Is the print bright enough for a dark bathroom?

Yes. The blue is a light, clean tone rather than a deep sea colour, and the fish are printed in solid primaries, so the panel lifts a room with no natural light.

Will a child grow out of it quickly?

It is drawn rather than licensed, with no characters or text, so it tends to last longer than a merchandise print. The submarine reads as a picture rather than as a brand.

Can it go in the machine after bath toys have been at it?

It can, at 86 F. For most marks a cloth is enough, and washing it less often is what keeps the outlines sharp.
