The engraving is reproduced at the same scale on every cut, so the narrow versions show a smaller window onto the same chart rather than a shrunken copy of the whole thing. Coastlines, place names and compass hatching all stay legible. The ground is a warm parchment rather than cream, with the engraved linework in a browned sepia that varies slightly across the sheet as an old chart would.

The engraving is printed at one scale throughout, so a narrow panel shows a smaller section of the same chart. Nothing is squeezed or stretched to fit. That is why place names stay readable even on the 35-inch cut.
At that length the cloth's own weight does most of the work, and the sewn hem keeps the edge even. What matters more is that the rod is properly anchored, since a long drop puts more load on it. Hooks and grommets are supplied to take that weight.
It reads warm, yes, and that contrast is stronger against a cool white tile than against a cream or painted wall. In a room with brass or aged bronze fittings it settles in rather than standing out. The print is deliberately parchment-toned rather than neutral.
