Tiered White Ruffles Stacked From Header to Hem
The White Ruffle Shower Curtain is built from a dozen or more horizontal tiers of gathered white cloth, each one sewn along its top edge and left to fall over the row beneath, so the whole panel is relief rather than print. The interest is entirely structural: light catches the leading edge of each ruffle and drops into shadow behind it, which gives a plain white curtain more depth than any pattern could. The imported sheet calls this lace, but there is no openwork anywhere and nothing is see-through; it is gathered fabric, sewn row on row.

No, although the supplier specification describes it that way. There is no openwork and nothing is see-through; the panel is made from solid gathered cloth sewn into horizontal tiers. What you get is texture, not transparency.
They hold more than a flat panel does, which is why the lower rows should be shaken out after a shower. Left bunched wet against a wall they will take a long time to dry.
Not especially, but marks settle in the folds rather than on the surface, so a regular wash matters more here than on a smooth panel. Nothing needs scrubbing; the tiers release soap easily in the machine.
