Is the photograph sharp enough to hold up at close range?

At normal viewing distance it is convincingly sharp. Standing directly against it you will see the weave of the polyester through the water, particularly in the flat pale areas, which is normal for any large photographic print on fabric.

Does the pale teal show soap splash?

Light water marks can show once the panel dries, mainly along the lower edge. A wipe with a damp cloth clears them, and the mildew-resistant treatment means they do not turn into staining.

Will this suit a bathroom that already has blue tile?

It can, but the teal here is quite specific. It sits well with grey-blue and slate but fights a warm turquoise tile, so match it against the tile in daylight before committing.
