Amber Glass, Gold Foam and Barley Light
The Brown and Gold Shower Curtain photographs two glass tankards of beer at close range: amber liquid lit from behind, a thick head of foam breaking over the rim, and grains of barley scattered at the base. The gold comes from the backlight rather than from any metallic ink, and it is that warm glow through the glass that carries the whole panel. The two glasses are set slightly off centre with the taller one behind, which gives the photograph depth and keeps it from reading as a flat product shot.

A Panel With a Sense of Humour
This is a panel for a basement bathroom, a bar area washroom or a guest cloakroom where a bit of humour is welcome and nobody is trying to build a serene scheme. The amber warms a room with cool grey tile better than a beige panel would. Twelve metal grommets carry the header, and the silver tone sits comfortably against the amber below without introducing a third colour. It hangs among our mens shower curtains, and for a cleaner graphic in a similar warm register, the Green and Black Shower Curtain takes the same amber somewhere more restrained.

No. It is the colour of backlit beer rendered in ordinary print, so it looks warm and luminous but has no sheen. A metallic effect would need a foil finish, which this panel does not have.
The edges are, the centre is not. The glasses are brightly lit against a shadowed surround, which is what makes them stand out, but it does mean the panel reads as a mid-to-dark tone across the room.
It is a strong subject for a shared room. It works best where the joke is the point, such as a basement or bar washroom, rather than in the bathroom the whole household uses daily.
Mostly. The shadowed surround absorbs water marks well, though the pale foam near the top is the one area where a dried splash could show, and it is high enough up to rarely be hit.
