No, they keep their printed width, so a narrower panel shows fewer of them. That is the advantage of a vertical stripe: the scale stays constant and only the count changes, which is why the stall cut looks like the same fabric rather than a shrunk copy.
It is a chalk white with a warm cast, closer to unbleached than to optical white. Against a bright white tile it reads slightly creamy, which is intended so the whole palette stays warm.
Not in the way people fear. Vertical lines add height rather than removing width, and because these bands are uneven the eye does not read them as a strict grid. The pattern to avoid in a narrow room is a bold horizontal band.
Printed. The soft edge is part of the artwork rather than a woven or cut effect, which means it will not actually fray in the wash. The surface itself is a smooth polyester weave.
