The clear shower curtain with design is not printed at all: the pattern is pressed into the film, a dense mosaic of small squares in mixed clear and frosted finishes, with a band of darker silver-grey tiles running along the lower edge. Light passing through it breaks up across the facets, so the panel glitters rather than glares. It is a PEVA film rather than a woven fabric, which is what makes the relief possible. Where the tiles are left clear the film is genuinely transparent, and where they are frosted the light diffuses, so the panel changes appearance as the light source in the room moves.

It is a run of deeper silver-grey tiles in the same mosaic, and it does two things: it visually weights the lower edge so the panel does not look like it is floating, and it disguises the splash line where water hits. It is part of the film rather than a separate strip, so there is nothing there to peel.
No. PEVA film is wiped clean only, and a machine cycle will crease and stretch it permanently. That is the one rule that matters with this material.
PEVA is the chlorine-free alternative to vinyl and does not carry the sharp smell older plastic curtains had. Any faint packaging scent clears within a day of hanging it open.
The relief is shallow and the film sheds water rather than holding it. Spreading the panel out instead of bunching it is what keeps the lower band clear.
