The trees are pure black cut-outs with no detail in them, which is what lets the colour behind them stay this saturated. Deep Colour Under Artificial Light

Deep colour behaves differently after dark, so this is a panel for a bathroom used mostly under artificial light, where warm bulbs push the magenta forward and the aubergine holds the corners. In flat daylight against white tile it looks flatter than it does at night.
