It does, better than most photographic panels. The trunks are already vertical, so a narrow crop looks like a deliberate close view rather than a chopped-off landscape, and the eye follows the trunks upward, which makes a small enclosure feel taller.
It sits in the middle, a leaf green with plenty of yellow in the sunlit areas and a cooler moss tone in the shade behind. It is not the blue-green of an emerald, which matters if you are matching it to painted joinery.
Soft. The background falls away the way it does in a real photograph rather than being digitally smeared, so at arm's length you read it as distance. Very close up you can see the printed grain in those areas, as with any photographic panel.
Sustained direct sunlight fades any print, and greens shift towards yellow as they go. A frosted or north-facing window is no trouble; a south-facing one with the panel in the sun for hours a day will show a difference within a couple of years.
