Ash Grey Foliage Falling Over a Bone Ground

Two close neutrals carry this grey leaf shower curtain and nothing else: a bone-coloured ground with a very slight warm cast, and single leaves drawn in a soft ash grey, each one shaded from the midrib outward so it has a little volume. They fall across the panel at varying angles as though drifting rather than sitting on a stem. The tonal gap between leaf and ground is narrow enough that the whole thing reads as texture from the doorway. Each leaf is drawn at a slightly different size as well as a different angle, so the eye never settles into a rhythm and the panel keeps a natural irregularity.
