Peacock Teal Feathers Drifting Across an Open White Field
The Grey Teal Shower Curtain sets a loose fan of feathers against bare white, painted in a teal that shifts from near-black at the quills to a bright turquoise at the barbs. Most of the panel is left empty, with the feathers gathered low and to the left and two or three strays floating up and out to the right, which gives the whole thing movement. The grey in the title comes from the shadow work rather than from any grey ground; the feathers are edged in soft graphite so they lift off the white without a hard outline.

They read that way, though the artist has not painted the eye markings that would make it literal. The shape and the teal-to-turquoise gradient are peacock; the handling is a loose painted study rather than a botanical illustration.
In the shading. The feathers are outlined and undercut with soft graphite, and the shadows they cast on the white ground are grey. There is no grey block of colour, so if you are matching a grey tile, match the shadow tone rather than expecting a grey panel.
Hard water can leave faint rings on a white ground once it dries. Shaking the panel out after a shower prevents most of it, and any marks that do form lift in a normal wash.
