It has a shaped lower edge that holds the drape even rather than letting the hem curl.

No. This panel arrives without rings, which is deliberate: it is finished to a standard header spacing so you can match the metal to your existing fittings rather than living with whatever came in the bag. Twelve rings gives an even drape across the 71-inch width.
It is shaped rather than cut straight, so the panel keeps its line at the floor instead of curling inward as polyester hems tend to. In practice it means the curtain falls in even folds without you arranging it after every shower.
Under a single warm bulb it can, particularly at a distance. The cream roses are what keep it legible as navy; in daylight or under a cooler bulb the blue is unmistakable.
No, and that is the main practical difference from a film panel. It has enough weight and enough surface texture that it stays put rather than being pulled inward by the airflow of a warm shower.
