The Pvc Shower Curtain is not a fabric at all but a translucent blue plastic film, embossed across its whole surface with small raised beads that look like water sitting on glass. The relief is real rather than printed: run a hand down it and the texture is there, and light passing through breaks up in it so the panel glows rather than being seen through. The blue is even from top to bottom with no gradient, and the film is thick enough to hang with body instead of clinging to whoever is standing behind it.

The photograph. This is a plastic film with an embossed surface, not a woven cloth, and the imported specification sheet is wrong on that point. It matters because it changes the care completely: wipe it, do not wash it.
It does, noticeably. Light coming through the panel picks up a cool cast, so a white tiled enclosure behind it reads faintly blue rather than grey. In a room lit by one warm bulb that cast is what stops the film looking like a builder's offcut.
There is a mild plastic odour for a day or two. Hanging it in a ventilated room clears it, and wiping it down with warm soapy water before first use speeds that up.
The embossing stiffens it and reduces the flat area a jet can push against, so it moves less than a thin plain film would. In a narrow enclosure it is still worth tucking the hem inside the tub before turning the water on.
