No. It is woven polyester with a photographic bamboo image printed on it, which is a different thing entirely. Nothing in the fabric is derived from bamboo. The print is what gives the effect.
They read well under warm bulbs, where the printed glow matches the room. Under bright cool light they flatten and become a yellow shape rather than a flame. Dimmed lighting suits this panel considerably better.
The upper background is a mid green with plenty of light in it, so it does not close a room down the way a solid dark panel would. The black stones sit low and are read as an object rather than a mass. In a very small room, pair it with a pale floor.
