Does a black panel make a small bathroom feel closed in?

It absorbs light, so yes, in a windowless room it will read darker. The compensation is that the gold catches whatever light there is. If the room is genuinely small, keep the walls and floor pale and let the panel be the single dark element.

Is the gold printed or is it a metallic thread?

It is printed. There is no metallic yarn woven into the fabric, so the gold has a soft sheen from a distance rather than a hard glint. That is what keeps it from looking cheap under a bright ceiling light.

Will lint show badly?

On a matte black ground, yes, more than on any pale panel. Washing it alone rather than with towels solves most of it, and a quick pass with a lint roller before guests arrive does the rest.

Do the fronds run the full height of the curtain?
