The artwork on this blue and brown shower curtain is painterly rather than photographic: a three-masted ship under full sail, hull in warm rust and umber, cutting through slate-blue water beneath a sky that shifts from bruised violet to pale amber. Brush texture is visible in the clouds and the swell, and the rigging is drawn fine against the light. A skull pennant flies at the mainmast, which sets the tone without turning the panel into a cartoon. Keeping a Dark Painted Scene Looking Deep
