Description

A Half Mandala Falling From the Header in Deep Ink Blue

The composition on this boho fabric shower curtain is unusual: instead of a repeating motif, one enormous mandala is cropped by the top edge so only its lower half appears, radiating down from the header in ink blue and teal, with the finest detail concentrated where the petals meet. Two smaller mandalas in soft grey-green sit in the bottom corners, cropped the same way, so the eye travels from the dense blue at the top down to the quieter pair below. Everything between them is left white. The linework is fine enough to read as hand-drawn henna rather than as a printed graphic, with dots, scallops and teardrops layered inside each petal ring. It is a lot of pattern arranged so that most of the panel stays empty.

  • Cuts: 35 x 71, 47 x 71, 59 x 71, 71 x 71 and 71 x 79 inches (width x height)
  • Material: woven polyester, printed front face
  • Design: cropped mandalas, ink blue and grey-green on white
  • Header: 12 silver-tone metal grommets
  • Included: 12 reinforced hooks
  • Treatment: water-repellent, stain and mildew resistant
  • Care: machine wash at 86°F
  • Layout: large motif at top, two smaller ones at the hem

Boho Pattern That Does Not Take Over the Room

Because the white ground dominates the middle of the panel, it suits a small bathroom that could not carry an all-over print, and it sits comfortably beside rattan, unglazed pottery and warm timber. A grey-green towel picks up the corner motifs; a navy one echoes the top. It is the most graphic thing in our boho shower curtains, and the Shower Curtain Circles takes the same relaxed register into softer, photographic territory.

Questions, answered.

It is drawn that way deliberately, so the motif appears to continue past the header rather than sitting inside a frame. The effect is that the pattern feels larger than the panel. Nothing has been trimmed in manufacture.

The deepest sections read as a true ink navy, but the mandala fades through teal to a pale washed blue at its outer edge. Beside a solid navy towel the panel looks lighter and greener overall. If you want an exact match, pick the towel to the darkest part rather than the average.

It holds well at normal viewing distance, with individual dots and scallops clearly separated. Very close up the weave softens the smallest marks slightly. That is the trade-off with any henna-style print on textile rather than paper.

They sit low but above the hem, so over a standard tub they usually remain visible above the rim. If your rail is mounted unusually low they can disappear. Hanging the panel outside the tub rather than tucked in keeps them in view.
