Alternating Sheer and Opaque Bands in White
The whole construction of this sheer white shower curtain is a run of horizontal bands: strips of a semi-transparent sheer alternate with strips of solid white, so light comes through in stripes and the panel changes appearance depending on what is behind it. Against a tiled wall the sheer bands go pale grey; with a window behind, they glow. It is a lightweight translucent panel rather than a heavy woven curtain, and it hangs closer to the vertical than a fabric one does. Nothing on it is printed; the striping is in the make-up of the material. Held up to the light the sheer strips show a fine even grain, while the solid strips stay flat white, and that difference is the entire design.

The supplier lists it as PEVA, and it behaves like a lightweight translucent panel rather than a woven curtain, though the banded surface photographs like a textile. We treat it as a film for care purposes, which is the cautious reading. Wipe it clean rather than washing it.
They obscure detail but pass light and silhouette, so this is not a fully private panel on its own. In a stall against a wall that is rarely an issue. Beside a bathroom door it may be.
Not on its own. At 47 inches it covers a stall or half of a bath, and a standard alcove needs closer to 71 inches. Two panels on the same rod will cover a full opening if you prefer the banded look.
